Estancia mayoralty bet first to ask for police security

Because of the alleged threat on his life, a mayorable in the northern town of Iloilo asked for police security before the Police Regional Office (PRO) VI yesterday. PNP Regional Director Chief Supt. Isagani Cuevas confirmed that Rene Cordero, former mayor and now mayoralty candidate of Estancia town, requested for personnel security.

3ID chief: Security operations to go on in absence of SOMO

The internal security operations (ISO) of the Philippine Army’s 3rd Infantry Division (3ID) will go on amid the Holiday Season. This, 3ID commanding officer Maj. Gen. Vicente Porto said, in the absence of SOMO (suspension of military operations) declaration.
