Elections ban on firearms, bodyguards start Sept. 25

The Commission on Elections 6 has announced the prohibitions during the election period leading to the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan polls on October 25.

City cops on lookout for loose guns

The Iloilo City Police Office is stepping up its campaign against loose firearms.

Senior Supt. Dennis Basngi, city police director, said that aside from conducting regular checkpoints, ICPO will also strengthen police visibility and foot patrol operations to monitor persons carrying firearms illegally.
