Stats exhibit opens today
A statistical exhibit will open today at the Amigo Plaza Mall.
As part of the activities for the 21st National Statistics Month celebration, the exhibit is participated in by some 21 government agencies and institutions in Western Visayas.
National Statistical Coordination Board 6 Regional Head Presentacion Penpillo said 20 of these agencies will compete for the Best Statistical Exhibit, one of the awards given during the closing ceremonies of the month-long celebration in the region.
This year, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas was tasked to organize the event after it was declared champion in last year’s contest.
The exhibit will feature relevant information and data about the services, programs and projects of the agencies and in support of theme of this year’s celebration “Towards a Philippine Statistical System Responsive to Emerging National and Global Challenge”.
Expected to be the guest speaker during the opening ceremonies is West Visayas State University President President Dr. Pablo Subong.
The exhibit will be opened to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. until October 20, the 1st World Statistics Day.*PIA
