Elections postponed in 68 villages in Western Visayas

Sixty-eight barangays in three provinces in Western Visayas failed to hold the elections yesterday because of delays in the arrival of election paraphernalia, Commission on Elections 6 Director Dennis Ausan said.

Vote buying still rampant

Several residents in Iloilo City have complained of rampant vote buying during the synchronized barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections yesterday.

The bribe money allegedly ranged from P200 to P500.

In La Paz district, policemen checked out Magsaysay Village after receiving information of massive vote buying in the area.
