Syjuco: Stop spreading lies
Syjuco
Iloilo -- 'Liar.' 'Gangster.' 'One of the 'dirty people'.' 'Terrorista.' 'Bandido.'
And there's more.
He has also been likened to an attack dog, the owner who may even soon find himself in similar 'dangerous' grounds in as far as relations are concerned with a known political ally and party-mate.
The subject of the latest media hullabaloo? Top Capitol figure and closest aide to Governor Niel Tupas, Provincial Administrator Manuel 'Boy' Mejorada.
The accusers? 'power' couple, Second District Representative Judy Syjuco and husband, Augusto 'Boboy' Syjuco Administrator of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The Syjucos who have been subject of the series of attacks by Mejorada in the past weeks have finally broke their silence lashing back at their former servant.
The Syjucos now said, 'enough is enough.'
'Who is he to question the reputation of Boboy and mine? I cannot forgive him for what he has done,' the lady solon said in a rare radio interview over Bombo Radyo's Zona Libre Friday evening. 'I swallowed my pride to lobby for more funds and bring projects to my people in the Second District. My husband has done him no wrong. Why do this? Why the lies and the vicious attacks against us?'
Similar sentiments by Augusto who lost no time in getting back at his former staff when he was still congressman of second district.
'I am still out to forgive Mejorada though and will give him one last chance. Yet if he continues, this would mean political war. I will blame his boss, Governor Tupas,' he warned.
At first, Augusto explained, Mejorada's attacks were dismissed as a joke.
'You see the holidays are near, so what is a little Christmas money because knowing Boy, that is his 'S.O.P', standard operating procedure, the kuratong way of attack and collect, defend and collect, ACDC,' he continued. 'But then the attacks became vicious and we observed that he continued to cast aspersions to my person and my wife.'
In this, Augusto said, he decided to fight back though he adds, 'I do not want to dignify his undignified statements.'
'Let us get something positive out of all these,' he added as the couple went on to disclose over P100 million in projects for the Second District and Tesda accomplishments under his administration.
'There are financiers out to destroy us. I don't believe it is just Mejorada because who is he?,' he ended. 'Respeto lang naman ang ginapangayo namon (All we ask is respect). And he wants accountability, transparency? Where are the documents I asked over two years ago? Show me yours 'Boy and I'll show you mine,' he said in jest.
