GMA and FVR sing Que Sera Sera!
Many are wondering why former Pres. Fidel V. Ramos is active in the political scenario now. Last year, he warned GMA that if the NO-EL plan would not be stopped, he will part ways with the incumbent President. On New Year's Eve, FVR, Drilon and Sotto met and both the administration and opposition had speculated that something big will happen! The other day, FVR admonished GMA to cut her term by 2007. Again lately, FVR said that he still supports Pres. Arroyo.
Can FVR on his own topple GMA? The former President has still the support of the military and GMA is worried that FVR's next pronouncement will be to call on the AFP. Does the former President and West Point graduate still have the backing of the military since he is a retired Commander-in-Chief?
Is GMA afraid of FVR? GMA might be taking her time and once she is fed up with her ally FVR, she might drop her surprise bomb!
FVR, GMA and other dignitaries attending the Council of State meeting on January 24 might again reconcile for the good of the LAKAS party and the nation.
It is not strange that administration and opposition alike are fighting like dogs as 2006 is the year of the Dog. No doubt, after the January 24 council meeting, venomous words coming from the contending parties will surface on headlines and poor Pandoy or Juan de la Cruz will go hungry for the rest of the year. Que sera sera, whatever will be, will be, Que sera, Que sera!
