Iloilo Code-NGO supports caravan for truth and reform
Emmanuel "Boyet" Areno of the Iloilo CODE-NGO said that they are supporting the network of non-government organizations in the Visayas and Mindanao areas in the holding of the Caravan for Truth and Reform.
Mr. Areno said that the caravan which is starting in two routes, one from Davao and another in Zamboanga, passing the RORO routes, will be in Iloilo sometime first week of February and then will converge in Manila.
He said that the caravan is a call for the Filipinos to reflect, re-examine their stand on the charter change, likewise, repent, reform and respond so that meaningful changes will happen in their lives as a people and as a country.
Areno also said that they are expecting that the people from the Visayas will respond enthusiastically to this call and join in the caravan from their respective provinces.
Here in Iloilo the CODE-NGO is preparing for the arrival of the other contingents of the caravan by holding a series of meetings and consultations, with a twin purpose of training more educators on Federalism and Parliamentary systems of government.
Areno said that they were aiming at forming about 100 people to become educators and help make Charter change better understood. (PIA6 /ESSubong)
