Oton municipal hall undergoes face-lift
Oton municipal hall had recently undergone a face-lift giving emphasis on its façade. The rehabilitation had impressively resulted into a wider and a friendly-receiving area catering to all the residents and transient clients as well.
Mayor Carina V. Flores, according to a source, had other plans as part of her program of governance, including rehabilitating both the market and public plaza.
The Oton municipal hall was constructed on October 31, 1955. With its new look and the completion of the Tax Payer's Lounge facing the lagoon, as well as the vertical extension of Annex A Building, soon, work on similar extension shall begin on Annex B.
Noteworthy is the fact that the face-lift did not alter the original design of the municipal hall, but rather improved on it. This has been the approach since 1993 when its expansion began with the addition of Annex A and Annex B.
The purpose of the project is to provide an orderly, fast and efficient service in the daily transactions of the public and the different local and national offices/agencies operating in the local government unit.
In the second floor of Annex A one will find the offices of the HRMO, the Municipal Engineer and Municipal Agriculture and Cooperative Office (MACO).
