Pana-ad 2006 revives pop songwriting festival
Bacolod City -- The search is on for the Most outstanding Negrense Pop Song as PANAAD sa Negros Festival 2006 revives the Negros Pop Songwriting Contest to be held at the Panaad Park Stage on April 26, 2006, 7:00 pm.
The contest is open to all pop songwriters coming from various cities and municipalities of Negros Occidental as well as Bacolod City whose aim is to promote Hiligaynon and Cebuano-worded pop songs and discover local pop songwriters.
Each city/municipality shall have a minimum of one songwriting entry and a maximum of three; the respective mayors shall officially endorse the entries that will represent the local government unit; and announcement of the 10-songwriting final entries will be on April 5, 2006.
Over P 50,000.00 cash prizes and trophies will be given away and the deadline for submission of entries in on April 3, 2006 at the Negros Pop Songwriting Festival 2006 Organizing Committee (NPSFOC), Negros Occidental Business Development Center, Capitol Lagoon and Park Bldg., Bacolod City.
The songwriter shall submit to the NPSFOC the following requirements: official entry form, lyrics of the song (type-written, double-spaced in a Times New Roman font style, 12 font size, in a short bond paper), and demo tape or CD enclosed in a short brown envelope.
