DPWH schedules P310.52 M Northern Antique road construction
The Department of Public Works and Highways, through Engr. Ramon Bagares, Jr. of the Rural Road Network Development Project III (RRNDP), Central Office, Manila, has signaled the construction of the Pandan- Libertad road in the northern part of the province of Antique. The P310.52 million construction is funded by Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).
The construction project aims to develop rural road network that provides access roads from rural areas to major arterial road links in order to improve the living standard of the inhabitants particularly in the northern parts of the province of Antique and Aklan.
Tentatively set for bidding between the months of October or November of this year, the big project came on the heels of PGMA's visit to Pandan last April 25 of this year, on the occasion of the town's religious fiesta and festival upon the invitation of Antique's Governor Sally Z. Perez.
The start of the construction will be on December 2006 or January 2007.
