Run Inday Lou run
Her real name is Marilou Tuazon Arroyo-Lesaca, younger sister of First Gentleman Mike Arroyo and older sister of Negros Occidental Representative Iggy Arroyo a.k.a. Jose Pidal.
She came without warning. She had her name registered in Passi City, Iloilo, which officially makes her a Passinhon and has the right to enjoy the privileges of a being a bonafide resident of the said city.
Interestingly, in so short span, her name became a by-word in every household.
Inday Lou without fanfare fulfilled her mission to help our less fortunate brothers in Passi City through medical missions. Inday Lou distributed cartons of various medicines with the assistance of medical personnel volunteers from our provincial hospitals.
She has been doing this personal crusade on her own, visiting different regions in the country sans publicity. It was her manner of helping the government sharing with whatever she can. She does not have to flaunt her Christian acts -- helping the poor. It is in line with her noble mission: "health is wealth" so goes the cliché.
To some however, her noble act of extending help to the poor was met with a great disapproval. It was as if Inday Lou's sudden existence in Passi City has turned her into an intruder. All of a sudden, she becomes a political threat.
Isn't it funny? When Inday Lou extended medical services for free to the poor, it was not her intention to win their votes, simply because she is not a politician.
Granting she eventually throws her hat in the political arena, so, what's the big deal? She has every right to do so, just like anyone else.
Honestly, I for one believe Inday Lou has the making of a great political leader. The way I look at her she is endowed the qualities of what it takes to be a leader.
Other than beauty and brain, Inday Lou has wits judging from the way she answers queries from the press.
What makes her doubly articulate is that Inday Lou speaks the native dialect fluently since the Arroyos are Ilonggo descendants from Molo, Iloilo not to mention Negros Occidental.
If I would be given the opportunity to advise Inday Lou, I would tell her in all honesty to run a for congressional seat in the 4th District, maybe she could do a lot and make a difference.
The District is almost beyond salvation and needs someone who has the political will to save it from the Pit of Hell, someone who has the courage to drive all the demons out of the District.
I am referring to you Inday Lou. Please run...!
