BIR's 'Premyo sa Resibo' on text
The 'Premyo sa Resibo' promo of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has shifted into the world of texting.
Newly assumed BIR Revenue Region No. 11 regional director Mama Bae Marzoc said participants may find it convenient to join in the raffle promo as they don't have to personally drop their entries but have it registered through text.
Previously, participants were required to drop their receipts as entries to various BIR offices.
In the new mechanics the participants just have to type in their cellular phone the keyword PSR plus the Tax Identification Number of the establishment that issued the receipt, the Receipt Number and the Receipt Amount.
After completion of receipt details data shall be sent to the following numbers 9777 for Smart, Talk & Text, and Addict Mobile; Globe and Touch Mobile (to be announced); and Sun Cellular (to be announced).
Every P100 value of a single receipt entitles the bearer one text raffle entry. The remaining fraction of P50 and above is round up to an additional text-raffle entry.
The bearer of a receipt with a value of P150 or more can send the same text-raffle entry message with the same receipt details at least two times. The number of which will depend on the amount of the receipt.
The texter should keep the original copy of the receipts.
Weekly draws will be held every Tuesday to cover receipt-entries dated from Tuesday through Monday of previous week (except for the initial draw on August 1, 2006 where receipt-entries dated from June 1, 2006 up to July 31, 2006 are qualified.
