Court finds two men 'not guilty' on drug charge
After two years in jail, two men accused of a drug charge were found "not guilty" by a local Court ending their stint of captivity.
Now enjoying their first days of freedom were 39 year-old Bernardo Roldan and 29 year-old Ralph John Antonio.
The verdict was handed down by Judge Victor Gelvezon of Branch 26, 6th Regional Trial Court (RTC) here finding the duo innocent of the charge in Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act.
As such, defense team managed to prove their case arguing that the drug charges and evidence of three sachets of shabu or "poor man's cocaine" were planted.
Roldan and Antonio were arrested back in 2004 by operatives of the Arevalo Police Station.
