Cops nab suspects in brutal killing of couple in Sara
Operatives of the Sara Police Office and Roxas City Police Office arrested Monday two of the four male suspects tagged in last week's brutal killing of a couple in Sara, Iloilo.
The continued manhunt nabbed Jobert Aran and Herman Lasquite in a joint police operation that brought the team to Barangay Humaguicguic, Sara. Two other accomplices remain at large amidst growing concern that the duo has fled Iloilo and sought refuge in Roxas City. Latest information placed the duo in Metro Manila however family members of the murdered couple remain optimistic of an arrest particularly with Monday's development.
The victims, couple Ramon and Marlyn Ducanes were stabbed and shot in the family home in Barangay Langka Muyco, Sara, Iloilo. Motive of the killing was believed to be an unsettled land dispute with the suspects said to have held a grudge over a farmland repossessed by the victims.
