Briones leads anti-drug campaign in Iloilo towns
Iloilo's battle against the proliferation and trade of illegal drugs persist and continue amidst the direct threat it poses to the barangays.
As such, yet another massive anti-illegal drug campaign will begin set to be led by the group of Board Member Angelo Briones, provincial federation president of the Liga ng mga Barangay.
Target of the province-wide drive are both private and government schools and colleges with anti-drug campaigners identified in all of Iloilo's 1,721 barangays.
To recall, proliferation and trade of illegal drugs have since been identified as a priority of the Liga's campaign with Briones also leading the Committee on Public Order and Safety in the Iloilo Sanggunian Panlalawigan (SP).
Two of Iloilo's seaports in the towns of Estancia and Dumangas were earlier identified as entry and exit-points of the illegal drug shipment with sources coming from Metro Manila and Mindanao provinces.
