The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has in its twenty-two years of existence exerted its best effort to provide relevant programs and services for the benefit of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). The creation of OWWA emanates from the constitutional mandate for the State to affirm labor, local and overseas, as a primary social economic force, and to guarantee the protection of the rights of overseas workers and the promotion of the OFWs interests and general well being.
