Bolilao residents urged to haul NHA to Court
Majority Floor Leader Eduardo Peñaredondo urged the Bolilao Community Association Inc. (BCAI) to bring their case against the National Housing Authority (NHA) to the proper court and not to the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
Recently, the association through their president Arturo Delozar has written the council regarding their problem. The complainants said that the lot they are occupying was sold by the NHA to Clousanty Holdings Inc.
A Deed of Conditional Sale was already made between the two parties in 1995. The selling price for the 46,851 square-meter lots was P59,235,000. There are some 300 occupants in the area, most of them has stayed for more than 20 years.
The residents also questioned the authenticity of all the documents regarding the property. In the Deed of Donation, it was stipulated that the area will be used for commercial purposes. However, the same property is listed as residential property based on the records of the City Assessor's Office.
Peñaredondo said the matter needs the intervention of the court after the residents themselves claimed that they should be the recipient of such property should the NHA decides to sell the property.
"We do not know whether they (residents) are also paying the NHA," said Peñaredondo.
