Kabankalan hospital offers modern medical facilities
Bacolod City -- Negros Occidental Governor Joseph Marañon and Vice Gov. Isidro Zayco and other provincial and local officials led the inauguration and blessing of newly renovated building behind the Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City recently.
The complete renovation of the former Kabankalan District Hospital amounted to P23 million. The extension building houses the ward and private rooms, an ICU, dialysis room and a small chapel.
The Lorenzo Decena Zayco District Hospital is equipped with modern medical facilities.
Gov. Marañon who also attended the distribution of ID cards for the "Philhealth Para Sa Masa" program is glad of the provision of health insurance to the people.
"They can now avail of services from the modern facilities of the hospital at a very minimal or no cost at all," the governor said.
The Kabankalan City government allocated P4 million for the health insurance project of the 7,000 enrolled members or 40,000 beneficiaries including the wife, husband and children below 21 years old.
