City's economic managers get awards
Two department heads of the Iloilo City government were recipients of the performance evaluation awards from the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGCF) last month.
They were City Assessor chief Nelson Parreño and City Treasurer Katherine Tingson. Both Parreño and Tingson are part of the economic managers of Mayor Jerry Treñas who contributed much for the city to have a surplus of P38 million in 2006. The chief executive praised the two department heads.
Parreño was accorded with an Excellence Award. The award was in relation to his excellent performance in the assessment for four consecutive years, from 2003 to 2006. He was also named as the most efficient worker in the region for the submission of quarterly reports pertaining to real property assessments and other related reports.
On the other hand, Tingson was also given the 2nd Most Outstanding City Treasury Office in Western Visayas for 2006. The CTO landed second among all treasury offices in the region with 92.94 score.
The awards were given last March 21 during the annual regional conference of provincial, city and municipal assessors and treasurers held at the Iloilo Grand Hotel.
