"I believe that motherhood is the most difficult job there is," according to Engr. Ernalyn Villegas of UGS Builders. "This is because you want your kids to become good persons and eventually become good parents," she added while smiling at her daughter Vanessa, 10, who joined the interview with The News Today.
That is why she is present in every school activity and Parent Teachers Association meeting. She also drives Vanessa and John Eric, 9 to Sambag Elementary School every day. "This way, they will be inspired because of the support shown to them."
At home, Engr. Villegas gives times with the children and their homework.
At times, the kids join her at the office. "So there's bonding between us," she said.
She admits that she is a very strict mother, but with good reason. "I explain to them why they should or shouldn't do something."
"I want my kids to be good, obedient and to pray always," she said.
Engr. Villegas is married to Ricardo Villegas.
