Unity of Iloilo protestant pastors
To God there is nothing impossible. In a meeting of pastors and church workers at the Four Season Hotel Monday morning, presided over by Bishop Dr. Ed Fernandez, President of Metro Iloilo Pastors Association (MIPA) and Pastor Raul Tiosayco, General Secretary of MIPA and pastor of El Shekinah, the fervent concern of many Jesus Christ believers in Iloilo for the unity of all Protestant Ministers and Workers in Iloilo province has initially been realized. Bishop Dr. Johnny Yasa, President of the Evangelical Ministers Federation of Iloilo City and Pastor of Bethel Temple at Bonifacio Drive agreed wholeheartedly to the unification process. Surgeon Demie Tidon, President of the Metro Iloilo Pastors Association who had an operation at the time in the hospital was contacted by cellphone and he also agreed to the unity plan of all pastors in Iloilo.
Unity of Christians even during biblical time was exposed in Ephesians 4:3,13: "Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ."
The three charismatic-pentecostal evangelical leaders are scheduled to meet by weekend to ink the unity document. On August 4, the spokesman of the united pastors' organization will report to the joint meeting of all ministers and workers the breakthrough which for centuries had tied the hands of free Christians throughout Iloilo and Panay to be in disunity no more. With all evangelical and pentecostal Christians united the smooth development and progress of churches will come to pass as God sees all his flock on earth in one accord and one voice in praising and adoring Him forevermore. Kudos to Dr. Tidon, Bishop Yasa and Bishop Fernandez for putting God first than self, and the realization of uniting all Protestant communities.
