'Time for change,' Colada vows as new PCL prexy
The Philippine Councilor's League (PCL) under the leadership of its new president will be more responsive to the needs of its members as it gears for positive changes.
Such was yesterday's promise of Board Member Cecilia Colada in a privilege speech delivered before the 9th SP body.
Vowing to bring much-needed developments for a PCL that is truly a league of its own, Colada expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming mandate in last week's elections.
A retired Court employee and widow of respected Judge Teodulo Colada, the lady board member extended her hand of reconciliation while adding that she is ready to go to work.
To recall, battlecry of the Colada camp was for transparency and accountability of the PCL funds and corresponding league transactions. While no direct attribution was made on former PCL president Lilia Gonzales, councilors seeking for a new PCL leadership decried what they similarly said was lack of proper coordination of the outgoing PCL officers.
The Colada team saw the combined forces of neophyte and reelected councilors. The Fifth District was reported to have been "solid" for her candidacy that sealed her easy victory.
