Pastor Estrebilla's book
While a hundred pastors are busy like a bumble bee not only in their churches but also in outreach ministries, Pastor Jose A. Estrebilla of the Full Gospel Center Church on Fajardo, Jaro, this city has still the time to write books. An unassuming man of God but grandiloquence preacher, Pastor Joe is always available for counseling, advice and assistance on battered women and problematic husbands. Every Sunday, there are three morning services, and one in the afternoon at 5:00. An average attendance in each service is 200. There is also a Tuesday Prayer Meeting at 6:00 pm where members, guests and other believers bring their supplications, lamentations and needs to God. It is also a healing service where the sick in homes and hospitals are prayed for by the whole congregation. For God said that, "prayers of righteous people availeth much."
Pastor Joe is a full-time Pastor and oversees outreach programs of young adult not only in different barangays in the city but in the interior towns as well. He is always on the go syndrome riding on his motorbike oftentimes accompanied by his tutor wife to bring unsaved souls to Jesus Christ.
"Rise Up! Pearls of the Orient", is the newest book of Pastor Estrebilla. The 81-page book contains interesting story about mankind. Deception Conquered is one chapter that talks about knowing the truth as a revelation and a person set free. The Pearl is Free is another fascinating chapter in the book, a make-believe narration of Juan de la Cruz. Pearls Multiply is the narration of Juan de la Cruz truly lives by the truth, others will emulate the truth in him. The Ugly Witch called deception is a random of prevailing negative mindset in spite of the information age and shade of deception that cripples people of the world view that will lend to hopelessness and desperation for the country. Deception of Family discusses the transfer of the next generation of the erroneous belief systems and practices. Another heartwarming episode of the book is Deception Confronted introducing truth as the ultimate antidote to deception. Asked why he wrote the book, Pastor Joe said that it is a challenge to Filipinos to live up to national identity as the only Christian nation in Asia. Pastor Joe related four points to this columnist, during an interview, his expectation of his book: 1) Godly patriotism, 2) Affirms God's given potential to those who read the book, 3) Remove deception from their mind as people will rise their God-given potential and 4) They will dream dreams for themselves and their country. Another forthcoming book of Pastor Joe which is to be released soon is titled, "Enjoying Sexuality to the Max," the book tells about Juan de la Cruz's sexuality after God's own heart.
Estrebilla is happily married to Rachel, a public school elementary teacher in Jaro and they have three children Samuel, Wowena and Karana. An active Full Gospel Center Church Minister, Joe stays in his office up to late evening all day except when he has a preaching engagement outside the church.
