New presidential assistant brings 1st executive briefing to Capiz
ROXAS CITY -- Newly appointed Presidential Assistant for Panay and Guimaras Assistant Secretary Raul N. Banias will hold his first in a series of executive briefings in the Province of Capiz, Oct. 16.
The activity was designed to enable provincial and city governments and national government agencies, represented by their regional offices in Western Visayas, to identify areas of mutual concern and how best they can converge and work together to achieve their respective objectives of promoting development and uplifting the lives of people.
The occasion will also serve as an opportunity for the multi-awarded former mayor of Concepcion, Iloilo to meet with the local chief executives of the province.
Gov. Victor A. Tanco, Sr. will present the development agenda of his administration for the next three years so that the line agencies could see in what areas they can converge in, be of assistance to or facilitate the needs of the local governments.
These will be the focus of discussions after the presentation.
The executive briefings were initiated by the Office of the Presidential Assistant for Panay and Guimaras and adopted them as a project together with the Provincial Governments of the two islands and Philippine Information Agency in cooperation with the Regional Association of National Government Executives (RANGE) in the region.
