BULL'S EYE
Which is real?
The fact that the city, and the entire Panay for that matter, lacks power supply is as clear as sunlight. Proof of this is the frequent power interruption that we are experiencing. However, certain groups believe otherwise. They claim that there is enough power for Iloilo and Panay users and they have the data to prove it. Ironically, they are claiming that their data came from the Energy Department which was also responsible for declaring that there is a looming power crisis in Panay Island. Who then shall the public believe? Well, for the meantime we just have to bear with the regular brownouts coming our way.
Deplorable road
Several sections of the road going to the province of Antique, specifically in the mountainous portions of San Joaquin, Iloilo and Hamtic, Antique, are in a deplorable condition. Worse, it continues to deteriorate as no major repairs are being made while the rains continue to tear down the already damaged road. It was only four years ago that some P729 million was spent for the repair of the entire Iloilo-Antique road. Now, the Antiqueños are made to suffer again. Too bad, instead of having its road network fixed, Antique's officials give more time on quarreling.
Role models
A police patrol car was spotted by our TNT lensman parking awkwardly at Rizal Street, City Proper recently, hampering traffic flow in the area. The driver of said patrol car, presumably a policeman, seems to be unmindful of the rules and regulations on parking. Law enforcers should serve as a good example for the public to emulate. They should continuously uphold the law and as well as the rules and regulations in the society. Just reminding you sirs.
