PA, Region 6 directors to hold executive briefing in Aklan
Kalibo, Aklan -- Aklan will be hosting the second in a series of executive briefings initiated by the Office of the Presidential Assistant for Panay and Guimaras.
The executive briefing, which will be held in Aklan October 23 next week, is spearheaded by Assistant Secretary Raul N. Banias, the newly-appointed Presidential Assistant for Panay and Guimaras, in coordination with the Philippine Information Agency and the Regional Association of National Government Executives (RANGE).
In his letter to Aklan Governor Carlito S. Marquez, PA Banias said the series of executive briefings will involve a presentation by the Governors of the programs of action of respective provinces.
"Through these, it is hoped that the Provincial Governments and the line agencies could identify areas of mutual concern and how best they can work together to achieve their common objectives," PA Banias said in his letter to Gov. Marquez.
The briefing is also seen as an opportunity for governors, new and re-elected, together with their provincial board members and mayors to meet the new Presidential Assistant and the Regional Directors.
The association of regional directors is now headed by Dr. Ma. Janet C. Mesa. Dr. Mesa is the Assistant Director-General of PIA for the Visayas and and at the same time PIA 6 Regional Director.
The briefing in Aklan next week will be the second one in Panay, the first briefing having been conducted already in Capiz October 16.
After Aklan, briefings will also be held in Iloilo, Guimaras and Antique, scheduled at their convenience within the time of the project, which is October to November of this year. (PIA)
