US medical mission visits Bacolod City
Bacolod City -- A 43-member surgical-medical-team from Michigan, USA is in the city to perform major and minor surgeries for pre-screened indigents at the Corazon Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH), this week.
The thrust of the group is to give back to the community, as most of their members are Negrenses.
Betsy Servando-Henry, president of Kahirup of Michingan, initiated the project in partnership with the Councils of Lions of Negros Occidental. She also expressed her appreciation and thanks for helping the project.
The Michigan group also donated to CLMMRH an anesthesia machine worth $100,000 and will distribute vitamins to the patients. Screening of patients is on going at the CLMMRH.
