Aklanon adjudged best performing school paper adviser for 2007
Kalibo, Aklan -- A school paper adviser from Calimbajan-Tina National High School in Makato town is Aklan's lone awardee this year for the regional search for Best Performing School Paper Adviser conducted by the Philippine Information Agency.
The awardee is Daisy T. Almero, and together with 5 others from Iloilo and Negros Occidental, she will receive the award as Best Performing School Paper Adviser on November 29 of this year at the Iloilo Grand Hotel in Iloilo City.
According to Atty. Ma. Janet C. Mesa, PIA Assistant Director General for Visayas, the award is the agency's way of recognizing and appreciating the efforts of the school paper advisers in promoting development and responsible campus journalism.

The Search for Best performing School paper Advisers is an incentive scheme designed by PIA VI to give recognition to campus paper advisers who have contributed time, effort and unwavering commitment to responsible campus journalism and the promotion of development communication through the campus press," Atty.
