Bacolod NFSP produces 16th batch of graduates
Bacolod City -- The National Federation of Sugarcane Planters (NFSP) Incorporated – Sugar Workers Foundation held its graduation exercises for its 16th batch recently at the Technical Skills Training Center, this city.
There were 198 graduates from Basic Computer, Automotive, Electricity, Welding and Food Preservation.
Councilor Greg Gasatay was guest speaker who spoke in behalf of Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia NFSP Sugar Workers Foundation, Inc. President Enrique D. Rojas, his assistant Raffy Butch Bacaoco, TESDA Specialist Romeo Tubungan, US-VMC, Outreach, Education Scholarship Screening Committee Head Roger Pabiana were present during the graduation exercises.
Gasataya said that it is his honor and privilege to be part of the project of Enrique Rojas. NFSP endeavors to keep and provide human integrity, technical knowledge for technological advancement for an industrialized country. He also congratulated the 198 graduates.
In an interview, Enrique Rojas said that the NFSP decided to establish the Training Center in the year 2000 in a joint venture with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority helping in the technical aspects. The main purpose and the target of the Federation is to help members of the families of sugarcane workers attain training skills that can allow them to go abroad to find their "green pasture" and help in the financial stability of their family.
