Rational Insanity
Less is more
Perfume is easily overdone. When we wear perfume we should not put on too much because, normally, what we could not perceive to be strong is actually offensive to others already. The same principle applies to everything that we do. Sometimes, we think we fall short in doing some things when in fact we already went beyond the limits or overstepped or encroached on some other person who is, most of the time, an innocent by stander. Often, doing less in the spirit of sincerity and concern is always the best thing to do.
This week, let me share with you something that I pulled out of the world wide web and most likely hangs in many an office or room. This little piece will make you think and think more about whether you are in harmony with the community you are in or you are in unconscious war with yourself and with all those all around you. I hope you enjoy this.
DO LESS
DO LESS THINKING,
and pay more attention to you heart.
DO LESS ACQUIRING,
and pay more attention to what you already have.
DO LESS COMPLAINING,
and pay more attention to giving.
DO LESS CONTROLLING,
and pay more attention to letting go.
DO LESS CRITICIZING,
and pay more attention to complementing.
DO LESS ARGUING,
and pay more attention to forgiveness.
DO LESS RUNNING AROUND,
and pay more attention to stillness.
DO LESS TALKING,
and pay more attention to silence.
This Yuletide season it is but normal and appropriate for each one of us to stop, pause a while and think about where we stand in relation to the community we are in and the people surrounding us. Our existence does not give us the liberty to trample upon the existences of other people. For everything that we do, we cause small ripples in the sea of fate and all these ripples affect all the others around us. Let us all consider this reality and be wary of the kind of ripples that we send out because in as much as we want to be safe and sound in our own individual worlds, there are others out there who would appreciate just the same thing.
Be rational; be insane…every once in a while! TTFN!
I love you all! Byers!
