Two Christmas parties
Some members of the UPV HS 87 class
Two Christmas parties were the highlights of Purr's December 2007. They are the Langford Cafe Christmas Party last December 15 and the UPV High School 87 Party last December 29.
Langford has many regulars and some of them have formed a close-knit group headed by owners Al and Grace Diwa. The Diwa couple prepared a sumptuous buffet that made the regulars come back for more. Dieting was so impossible that night. After dinner came the exchange of gifts. Purr received a diary and address book from Junjun, while she gave Scott a Folded and Hung t-shirt. Aika, one of the regulars and a really cool fashionista, gave a touching speech about how the Diwa couple had been very special in everybody's lives. She left for the United States the next day and it was an emotional time for those closest to her. Then, some of us proceeded to Flow and partied until the wee hours of the morning.

Meanwhile, the UPV High School Batch 1987 gathered at The Mushrooms of the UPV Iloilo Campus, along with their spouses, kids, mentors and friends. Arsan Gaitan was generous enough to donate one lechon and dinuguan to augment the packed lunch of chicken curry, pork chop and ham. Each classmate was asked to talk about him or herself 20 years after graduating from high school. Some of them proceeded to Melly's, a regular hangout of high school kids even before our time. The gatherings continued and culminated in Flow .. again, until the wee hours of the morning.
