10 cops join 'battle of the brains'
Senior Police Officer I Bolivar receives from Police
Superintendent Demiar her cash prize as winner in
the Police Regional Office 6 Whiz Quiz.
As part of its celebration of Philippine National Police (PNP) 17th Anniversary, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 held a "Whiz Quiz", recently.
Ten PNP personnel assigned with different police units at Camp Martin Delgado participated in the contest.
The Whiz Quiz is a contest which measures the acumen of PNP personnel on basic principles of law enforcement, police administration and operations, and general information. It also encourages the PNP personnel to review what they learned in training schools, update themselves with current events, and keep abreast with the different programs of the organization.
Designed and hosted by personnel of PRO 6 Regional Public Information Office (RPIO), the Whiz Quiz gives away a cash prize and Medalya ng Kasanayan (PNP Efficiency Medal) to the lucky winner.
"We want to challenge our personnel to learn more about our profession, its history and our organization," PRO 6 Director, Police Chief Superintendent Wilfredo V. Dulay said as to the rationale of holding the Whiz Quiz.
Last January 28, on the launching of the Whiz Quiz, Senior Police Officer (SPO) I Marites Ticzon-Bolivar made her office proud by emerging victorious in the contest.
SPO1 Bolivar is assigned with the Regional Electronics and Communications Office (RCEO) 6 and designated as Administrative Clerk.
RPIO Chief, Police Superintendent Ranulfo I Demiar also gave each of the other participants a Certificate of Commendation: SPOI Jigger Gimeno, POIII Johna Agui, POII Robert Gumban, POII Ed Allen Rodrigo, POII Ma. Theresa Lero, POII Shella Mae Sangrines, POI Jocar Samenian, POI Neva Jean Untalan, and Non-Uniformed Personnel Jeanica Manalon. (POII Francisco Lindero, Jr.)
