Pinta Tawo: Human skin as canvas
Tatsulok Artisan won first place
Pinta Tawo, a body painting contest, celebrated the human skin as a perfect venue to showcase art. Held last Feb. 17, 2008, Pinta Tawo was one of the special events of Iloilo Paraw Regatta 2008. The event was organized by the Iloilo Paraw Regatta Foundation, Inc together with the Junior Chamber International Iloilo (JCI-Iloilo).
The event aimed to showcase the potentials of Ilonggos on creative designing and set JCI Iloilo as a medium of example for the youth to participate in social activities, according to LOM President Jomari Moriente.
Seven groups of artists and seven models participated. The entries were judged based on creativity, theme semblance, color balance and color intensity.
The winners and their prizes were: Tatsulok Artisan 1, first, P5,000 cash and trophy; Endencio Brothers, second, P3,000 cash and trophy; Tarag, third, P1,500 cash and trophy; Nil Capineanes, fourth, P1,000 cash and trophy and JBLCFMU-Lapis, fifth, P1,000 cash and trophy.
