Baronda reelected as NMYL's EVP
For the second time, City Councilor Julienne Baronda was recently elected as executive vice president (EVP) of the National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL) during its 16th National Congress held in Lahug, Cebu.
The congress was participated by councilors, vice mayors, board members and vice governors all over the Philippines who are 35 years old and below at the time of their election to office in May 2007 election.
Baronda bested Councilor Bernadette Herrera-Dy of the 1st District of Quezon City. The other elected NMYL officials are Cecilia Claire Reyes, a councilor of Isabela province as President, Wenceron Lagumbay as VP for NCR, Dennis San Diego as VP for Luzon, Karen Villanueva as VP for Visayas.
While, Maria Carmen Apsay was elected as VP for Mindanao, Carlo Loreto as Secretary General, Roselyn Paras as Deputy Secretary General, Efren G. Gica as Treasurer, Azalea Hidalgo as Asst. Treasurer, Melissa Ann Hilario and Pamela M. Paredo as Auditors and Jose Antonio Leviste II and Alfonso Tabas as PROs.
Baronda said it is a privilege and honor for her to serve for the second time as EVP of a national organization. Apart from being a councilor, she is proud to be a member of the Iloilo Ilang-ilang Jaycees.
The lady councilor led the delegates from Iloilo in last February 27-29, 2008 congress held in Waterfront Hotel. Among those who attended the gathering were Councilor Nielex Tupas, Councilor John Melchor Mabilog, Provincial Board Member Jeneda Salcedo and Provincial Board Member Karl Gumban.
