DOT sets consultation on restaurant accreditation rules
Bacolod City -- The Department of Tourism (DOT) is conducting a one-day consultation-seminar on Rules and Regulations to govern the accreditation of restaurants in Cebu City on April 11, 2008.
In line with this project of DoT, the Bacolod City Tourism Office is inviting Bacolod restaurant owners and associations, tourism councils, and other tourism stakeholders as the Office of Tourism Standards of DoT will present to the participants for consultation the Rules and Regulations to govern the accreditation of restaurants.
The proposal classifies restaurants based on type of services, cuisine and concept. Several meetings with restaurant industry stakeholders in Metro Manila were held incorporating their inputs in the draft. Once approved, the Rules shall be implemented nationwide thus the need for consultations.
Registration in the seminar-consultation is free but participants will shoulder their own transportation and accommodation.
