CSC sets deadline for master's degree scholarship application
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has set the deadline for the application for the written test of its Local Scholarship Program-Master's Degree Courses (LSP-MDC) application on April 11, 2008.
The LSP-MDC is open to government employees, which provides them with a one-year scholarship grant to pursue a Master's degree or postgraduate studies.
The competitive examination for the scholarship consist of a written test and an interview and the CSC said that only those who pass both stages shall be entitled to the scholarship upon fulfillment of school requirements.
The LSP-MDC written test will be administered nationwide on May 4, 2008.
To qualify, the government employee-applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a college or university recognized or accredited by the commission on Higher Education, and a permanent status of appointment for three years at the time of application.
Further, they must have a performance rating of at least "very satisfactory" for the last two consecutive rating periods prior to application, must be in good health, and physically and mentally fit for graduates studies and must be nominated by their respective agency heads. (PIA 6/ESS)
