Capiceños welcome return of NBI office
ROXAS CITY -- More Capiceños expressed gratitude for the re-establishment of a satellite office of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Capiz.
Senior Board Member Esteban Evan Contreras said that the re-establishment of an NBI office here will not only help Capiceños but also residents of neighboring provinces like Iloilo.
According to Contreras, the public who are in need of an NBI clearance and other services of said office will save time and money in going to Iloilo City to secure said documents.
The NBI satellite office in Capiz was formally opened April 14 at the ground floor of the Provincial Capitol Building by Governor Victor A. Tanco, Sr., lawyer Rexon Chong from the NBI's Office of the Deputy Director for Technical Services and NBI Regional Director Mario Sison.
Contreras earlier passed a resolution with the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Capiz asking the National Bureau of Investigation to establish an NBI Satellite Office in the province.
The blessing of the new NBI satellite office in Capiz is part of the many activities of the province in celebration of its 107th Foundation Anniversary.
Aside from the blessing of said office here, other activities on April 14 included the simultaneous vaccination against pneumonia of more than 2,000 elderly at the 16 towns, and dental extraction and circumcision of male kids at the various district hospitals of the province. (PIA)
