Eleven dazzling ladies, one crown, one pageant, one winner!
Charmaine Gail Nunez, a junior Bachelor in Broadcasting student of the West Visayas State University, was crowned as the Mutya ng Guimaras 2008 held at the Guimaras Capitol Gym on April 18, 2008.
Nuñez who represented the Municipality of Buenavista, received Best in Casual Wear and Best in Interview awards. She was also adjudged Miss Close up.
Following Nuñez was First Runner-up, Wendy Jimenez from the Municipality of Sibunag.
Cyril Lauron from the Municipality of Buenavista followed as 2nd runner up. She got the Miss Yamaha and Miss Fuller Life corporate awards in addition to the minor awards she received namely: Best in Festival Costume, and Best in Long Gown.
Completing the top 5 candidates are Tricia Mae Patag of the Municipality of San Lorenzo and Mae Antonette Chavez, from the Municipality of Nva. Valencia as Third and Fourth Runners-up respectively. Chavez had bagged the Miss Sunsilk award.
Dianne Mae Sarmiento from the Municipality of San Lorenzo was declared Miss Photogenic, Miss Friendship, and Best in Swimwear, earlier in the evening. Violy Mar Gacho from the Municipality of Nva. Valencia received the Miss Ponds and Best in Talent awards. Karen Joy Gabasa from the Municipality of San Lorenzo and from the Municipality of Jordan, Fiona Mae Homalayan and Jane Saiton made up the rest of the pageant's contestants.

Miss Mutya ng Guimaras 2007, Jea Ferer, gave her final walk and turned over the crown to the new Mutya.
Distinguished and renowned people in the society served as the panel of judges. Among them were Mr. Frederic Peralta, Noli Locsin, Albertito Lopez III and Miss Universe Gloria Diaz.
Rofel John Parreño, head of the Robinson's Mall Communications Department was the Pageant Night's host.
The Search for Mutya ng Guimaras was one of the highlights of the 15th Manggahan Festival of the province of Guimaras. It is a weeklong festivity of fun and discovery showcasing the mango industry of the province.
