Negros solemnizing ministers organize, elect officers
Solemnizing Officers in the province recently elected its officers and formally organized their group called Community of Solemnizing Ministers (CSM).
Elected as Chairman and President of the CSM is West Negros College Social Science Professor Doulos (servant) Joy Vingno, Dr. Marlo Guanzon – Secretary and Ds. Paulos Agustinos-Treasurer.
Elected as members of the board are Pastors Hilario V. Tagapan, Aeron Caldeo, Noe Y. Madalag, Nicolas V. Garanchon, Adriano Bernardino, Elmer Drilon, Al S. Seran, Ds. Jero Salem and Lawyer-Pastor Juan Rubrico- legal consultant.
Vingno, who heads a school in Talisay City which he also founded, said the " the main objective of CSM is to have a strong social force to strengthen solidarity" among ministers officiating marriage.
The organizational meeting was held recently at the Sylvia Manor Hotel attended by ministers representing various denominations and independent Evangelical Churches in the province.
National Statistics Office (NSO) Regional Director Norman Julag-ay and Provincial NSO Chief Fred Sollesta attended the activity.
Vingno said the group agreed to meet every first Sunday of the month for a regular meeting with the members. (PIA-LOL)
