PGMA: Don't require schoolchildren to wear uniforms

IBAJAY, AKLAN—President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo yesterday directed the Department of Education (DepEd) to allow 6-year-old school children to enroll this school year even without uniforms to bring more children to the classrooms.

Ibajay's new bridge project assures Aklan further development

The new 246-linear meter (lm) double-lane bridge in Ibajay, Aklan is expected to spur more development not only to the host local government unit but also to its neighboring provinces, according to Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)regional director for Western Visayas Rolando Asis.

The Iloilo Kennel Club, Inc., headed by Bryan G. Syching, held its quadruple 95th, 96th, 97th and 98th All-Breed Dog Championships recently. Being the first all-breed dog show for the year, there were close to a hundred entries coming from Iloilo City and Province, Cebu, Dumaguete, Davao and Manila.
