Kids Play: Children discover their true essence

Children ages 4 to 12 attended a workshop called Kids Play last May 24 and 25 at The Residence Hotel. This was organized by the Organizational Consultants International (OCC) headed by its regional consultant Bong Sanagustin.
The workshop was able to draw out from the children the positive values they were supposed to have in order for them to grow as happier and stable individuals. OCCI's emphasis is on the children's essence, which means: E – experience their greatness; S – share their truth; S – soar with confidence; E – express love; N – nurture their gifts and talents; C – create harmony and E – embrace life with joy.
The training methodology of the workshop was experiential learning, utilizing the inductive process, and was designed to make a positive impact on the participants' experiences of life in general. The framework was based on accepted theories of Behavior and Attitudinal Modification, including Awareness and Sensitivity Training for enhancing emotional quotient (EQ). The facilitators were professional psychologists and life coaches from Manila. Modules were presented through puppet shows, skits, stories, ad games.Hence, the sessions were lively, highly participative, and fun!
