Iloilo City police warns students vs vandalism
Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) Director Wesley Barayuga has issued a stern warning on students against committing vandalism.
Barayuga noted that vandalism has been a long time problem in the city.
The police official, however, warned that this time, they will strictly go after vandals in the city.
He said they found out that most of the vandals are members of fraternities and out-of-school youth, who spray paints in the sidewalks and overpasses here.
Barayuga has also warned high school and college students against involving themselves in illegal drugs and illegal gambling. He said that the police will conduct a no let up drive against these illegal activities that destroy them and their future.
The police director on Tuesday assigned police personnel in all the universities and schools here to ensure the peaceful opening of classes and the safety of students, many of whom are from other areas. (PNA)
