Carol-V Espinosa: Her life and style
I would like to be remembered as someone who has made a mark in the media world and law. I want people to improve how they look at media and that as a respectable institution – Carol
People expect me to follow trends because I'm hosting a lifestyle show. I'm just a simple girl who prefers to wear T-shirt, jeans and flip-flops"
Carol V- Espinosa
You see her as the bubbly and sweet lady in "Carol .. It's About Life and Style" under Y'd Screen Productions shown on Sky Cable.
She's no other than Carol-V Espinosa, who, at a young age, has managed to achieve success compared to other people her age.
Carol, at 20, is the associate producer of her own show. She is an incoming senior student of West Visayas
State University, taking up Broadcasting. She started with the media industry when she was only a sophomore as VJ of Cable Star Inc., until now. Carol's quite effective in this job because she's a music lover. "I love music next to hosting and public speaking," the VJ of "Stars Featured Music" said.
In school, Carol's active in declamation and performing arts. This creative soul can dance ballet and jazz, act and play the guitar and drums.
She finds working in TV as fulfilling. "I get to work while studying. I have learned a lot about the business, too," she said.

So far, there's no conflict between work and school. "I use my spare time to study. Tapings are usually in the evenings, from 5 to 10 om. Then, I study once I arrive home. I promised my parents I'll keep up my grades. There's even more pressure for me to do better because people expect a lot from me," she said. Her Saturdays are intended for family, tapings and pictorials.
Carol had been recognized everywhere because of her TV exposure. "One time, I was surprised when someone wanted to have a picture taken with me. Then, some people would approach me and ask if I'm Carol," she said. She added that she keeps a scrapbook of these experiences, especially her "firsts."
"But somehow, I don't consider myself as 'sikat'. It hasn't sink in yet," she said. She's happy with the advantages that being on TV brings, though. "They are popularity and the special treatment. However, there are downsides, too. People expect me to follow trends because I'm hosting a lifestyle show. I'm just a simple girl who prefers to wear T-shirt, jeans and flip-flops. I don't wear makeup, even. Just a colorless lipbalm will do," she added.
Carol and friends
This revelation is quite surprising because Carol's face is so well maintained. "Face Value takes care of my face. I also use their soap and sunblock and, visit the facial and spa center regularly. Tita Vina Janagap surely knows how to take care of her customers, " said. Contrary to what people think, Carol said that she is not liberated. "I'm conservative that's why I always complain with the clothes that some people let me wear. I am careful with what I wear. Also, I don't drink alcoholic beverages, I don't smoke and I'm not into night outs either."
Carol revealed that her greatest influence is her dad. "We talk about stuff related to politics and law. So, I'm presently reading 'Politics and Governance' by Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago. I also bought Philippine Constitution so I could better understand it. Now, I can butt in some ideas during our conversations. That makes my dad happy," she said.
A maven in hosting.
Carol's dad is Vicente "Itik" Espinosa and her mom is Diane Frances Espinosa.
As for what makes her happy? "Simple things like text messages, amusement parks and rides and when my family's complete."
Despite her popularity, intelligence and beauty, Carol is still single. When asked what she looks for in a guy, she said, "One with no vices, one who is religious and presentable enough. He need not be rich."
Carol plans to take up law after finishing Broadcasting. "I will still be on TV but to be a host in a show that tackles topics on law," she said.
She's bubbly and this is really a good personality, but amazingly, Carol doesn't want to be remembered that way. "I would like to be remembered as someone who has made a mark in the media world and law. I want people to improve how they look at media and that as a respectable institution," she said.
