Masons, PNP feed malnourished studs
The Iloilo City Police Office and Quintin Salas Memorial Lodge 231 (mason), sponsored the "Feeding Program", benefiting more than 200 malnourished students of Bo. Obrero Elementary School, Lapaz, Iloilo City last Friday, July 4.
The Bo. Obrero Elementary School Home Economics teacher identified the project beneficiaries who belong to Grades 1 to 3.
The Feeding Program, which is a joint endeavor of ICPO and Quintin Salas Memorial Lodge 231, a mason group, headed by Mr Luis Ong, has benefited the students of said school for a year now.
ICPO Police-Community Relations Officer, Senior Inspector Lourdes Banzuelo, said the program is aimed part of the PNP thrust to gain the trust and confidence of the community. "We want the children to love the police," she added.
The ICPO, through its PCR Section, also conducts Feeding Program in several schools in Iloilo City.
"We depend on donations and supports from generous individuals and groups to sustain our activities," Bansuelo explained.
Meanwhile, the ICPO, which has consistently been rated No.1 in the past 6 consecutive quarters among 8 Police Provincial/City Offices, depends highly on the accomplishments of its PCR Section. (F Lindero / L Deslate)
