Capiz PNP launches 'Isugid kay PD'
ROXAS CITY – Newly installed Capiz Police Director Senior Supt. Josephus Angan has vowed for more accomplishments in the provincial campaign against criminalities with the recent launching of "Isugid kay PD" project.
"Isugid kay PD" is a Hiligaynon phrase which means "tell to the Provincial Director" of Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) any relevant information that could help in the anti-criminality crackdown of police authorities.
The support of the community has been sought by CPPO Provincial Director Angan in his message during the command turnover ceremony last July 2 at Camp Teodorico Apil in Barangay Loctugan here.
"Our mission remains the same which is to ensure public safety through the support of the community," said Supt. Angan in his remarks as Capiz new top cop.
Recently, the CPPO noted in its crime situation report that there is a decrease in the Average Monthly Crime Rate (AMCR) in the province for the period January to June of this year.
The report showed that the AMCR for the period is 6.52 percent for every 100,000 population.
"The figure is 1.25 percent lower compared to 7.77 percent registered for the same period last year," the report noted. (PIA/A.Lumaque)
