Life goes on...
Time flies so fast. Seconds turn into minutes, minutes turn into hours and hours turn days and days turn months, undeniably we are getting older as each day passes by.
I just turned 26 last Saturday and I realized many things. First and foremost, I'm not getting any younger anymore. My age is getting closer to the last day of a monthly calendar and definitely soon my age will already be gone in a calendar. (Hehe) Oh well, it is the reality of life. We can't stop adding a year every time we celebrate our birthday.
With my 26 years of existence in this wonderful world created by God, there are experiences that are worth to be remembered. Here are my top on the list.
- My board exam. It was not that easy for me to take the LET. I had to go through series of falling in line at PRC to submit my requirements. And as most people would say, patience is really a virtue.
- My job. Looking for a job after graduation was a great challenge. I was hired at SJS as a newly grad and after four years I'm still here. I was molded to become a fine and an able teacher here in St. Joseph School. And I can say that, I really love my job even though it requires a lot of things to be accomplished in a certain period of time. Sometimes my weekend is eaten up for work but as teacher, we work 24 hours a day and seven days a week. I believe that once you are a teacher, you must have the passion to teach and the compassion to serve.
- My friends. As the cliché goes, “No man is an island.” A Friendster account is not necessary to identify a person that he or she has many friends. As long as the person has a big heart to fill in his or her friends, then it is really okay. Friends come and go in our lives and only true friends leave footprints in our hearts. I am a friendly person and I am proud to say that I have true friends whom I can count on during my ups and downs.
- My family. I thank them for the gift of life and the gift of chance of letting me live in this earth. I have the chance to see the beauty of God's creation and be able to witness how life works. Life is indeed beautiful. And in my 26 years, I learn to appreciate my existence and my presence in this world. I live my life to the fullest. I enjoy every minute of my time and I'm always thankful for this gift of life
There are things I still want to achieve and hopefully, I can manage to achieve these things before my age will be phased out in a monthly calendar. And here is my list:
- To finish my master's degree
- To travel outside the country
- To study foreign language
- To publish a book
I am happy the way I run my life now. And with all the accomplishments for the past 26 years, I fulfilled the first phase of my dreams. And for the past four years of imparting knowledge, I can see my growth as a teacher. However, my life doesn't stop here. My journey will continue as I keep my boat on sailing and paddle it in a right way.
