Time flies so fast. Indeed, for Police Regional Office 6, it seems only yesterday that it launched on air the first episode of Talakayan Sa Isyung Pulis (TSIP) thru Central Philippine University Alumni Channel (Skycable channel 8).
With 40 episodes in a row, TSIP celebrates its first anniversary in Iloilo City airwaves and in the whole of Western Visayas.
TSIP, which is aired live every Thursday at 11 am to noon and being replayed every Saturday on the same time slot, came to existence with forging of Memorandum of Agreement signed on July 16, 2007 between Dr Juanito Acanto, CPU President, and PCSupt Wilfredo V Dulay, Sr, then PRO 6 Director. But, TSIP has officially kicked off on July 21, 2007 (Saturday) hosted by POII Francisco B Lindero Jr and NUP Violeta H. Bandoquillo.

The following episodes were hosted by PSSupt Norlito C Bautista, then Chief of Regional Public Information Office in concurrent capacity as Chief Regional Directorial Staff, who was replaced by PSupt Ranulfo I Demiar last January. In some of its episodes, TSIP has been co-hosted by PCInsp Ma Cecilia R Detablan, POII Francisco B Lindero Jr, POII Diana May C Reyes, POII Shella Mae Sangrines, POI Jeramae C Rio, and NUP Violeta H Bandoquillo.
As RPIO-run public affairs TV program of the PRO 6, TSIP has become the primary venue for the PNP to actively showcase the heroism of the PNP and clarify issues that may create misimpression of any of its units or office before its viewers.

From a three-segment program (Q&A, Tatak Pulis and Dalangpan Nyo), TSIP has evolved into an hour of Talakayan with guest/s in response to the clamor of viewers for longer discussion on issues and concerns relative to the maintenance of peace and order in the region.
TSIP is a big leap towards PRO 6's aspiration of achieving positive public perception and their support for major police programs. It has been successful in building a wide viewership and had received positive feedbacks for effectively disseminating information, clarifying issues and providing helpful advisories to the public.
As it embarks for another year of TV programming, TSIP remains committed to its mandate of providing the public with adequate, accurate, relevant and timely information of its major activities, programs and accomplishments. (F. Lindero)
