Piolo and the people of Batad
Piolo Pascual, actor and one of the people behind Hebreo Foundation, through the help of The News Today and foundation volunteers, delivered some help for the victims of typhoon Frank in Batad. Pascual entrusted TNT's Florence Hibionada to ensure the project's success last July 21.

Isagani Jalandoni, principal of Batad National High School, said that it was a big help for the school as its operations were normalized after their eight classrooms were damaged by Frank. He was referring to the galvanized iron sheets that were used to restore the damaged parts of the school.
The group proceeded to Batad Central School and Binon-an Elementary School and gave slippers to students from Grade One and Grade Two.
At Barangay Binon-an, a jetmatic hand pump was given. The elderly received blankets and bottled water.
