'Lucky' beneficiary gets financial aid from Pagcor 10 times
BACOLOD CITY – Rossini Rosales must be the luckiest job order employee at the Bacolod City Hall. This is because he was able to receive a total of P138,500 financial assistance from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor).
Pagcor allocates P20,000 every month for the City Council to be used in giving financial assistance to the needy.
Surprisingly, Rosales enjoyed receiving medical assistance for ten consecutive releases.
Records from the Sangguniang Panlungsod show that he first received P5,000 as financial assistance with his name listed as No. 29 in the list of Pagcor beneficiaries.
The second release to him was in a form of medical assistance amounting to P20,000 which was based on Sangguniang Panlungsod resolution 707, Series of 2007. He was listed as No. 77 among the list of beneficiaries.
Another record showed Rosales again received P12,500 and was No. 57 among the list of beneficiaries in the form of medical assistance.
Another P10,000 was released to him in the form of financial assistance to Barangay Taculing but still intended for his medical assistance.
Subsequently, he received another P10,000 financial assistance as a resident of Barangay Taculing still intended for his medication which was coursed through Mr. Edwin Importante.
Rosales also received P2,000 as financial assistance for Socio-Economic Activities.
In SP Resolution No. 599, Series of 2007, there were two different amounts which were released to him.
The first release was P20, 000 in the form of medical assistance. He was No. 82 in the list of beneficiaries.
The second release as stated in the same resolution was P14,000 in the form of medical assistance. He was listed No. 86.
Also, SP Resolution No. 21, series of 2008, showed that another P10,000 was coursed through Rosales as financial assistance for "his medication." He was No. 9 in the list of beneficiaries.
