P3M new mayor's office inaugurated
ROXAS CITY – The city government under the leadership of Mayor Vicente Bermejo has inaugurated the new City Mayor's Office on the second floor of the Roxas City Hall last Friday.
Mrs. Judy Araneta-Roxas, mother of Sen. Mar Roxas, was the special guest of the said occasion who also distributed the sphygmomanometer to all 47 bgry captains assisted by Barangay Health Workers.
Roxas, assisted by Gov. Victor Tanco and Bermejo, also gave PhilippinesNational Red Cross (PNRC) relief goods to all village chiefs of Roxas City.
Bermejo said that the edifice is worth P3 million designed by Architect Margie Maestro. He described his office as simple, functional and elegant.
Tanco Sr., Sangguniang Panlalawigan members Alfonso Bediones Jr. and Nenita Martelino and Panay, Capiz Mayor Dante Bermejo were also present.
The new Mayor's Office used to be the session hall and the office of the City Council. These offices were moved to the third floor of the Roxas City Hall.
Meanwhile, Bermejo also said the offices of the City Administrator, City Legal Officer and Human Resource chief were also renovated.
He said P5 million has been approved by the City Council for the renovation of the old Mayor's Office. It will be made into the office of the City Treasurer.
